A former military administrator of Kaduna State, Senator Abubakar Tanko Ayuba, is dead.
Aged 71, the late senator died around 5:05pm yesterday at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) after a protracted illness.

Confirming the death to our correspondent,
the Deputy Senate Leader, Bala Ibn Na’Allah, said arrangements were
being made to bury the deceased according to Islamic rites.
Late Senator Ayuba, who was the military administrator of Kaduna State between 1990 and 1992, is survived by a wife and children, among them the Kebbi State Commissioner for Justice, Rakiya Ayuba.
Senator Muhammadu Magoro and the Chairman of the Kaduna Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Garba Muhammad are among the early delegation to Lagos to prepare for his burial.
