Four civilians and seven police officers were killed after a bomb
targeting a Police bus in Istanbul, Turkey, exploded near the city's
historic Beyazit Square neighbourhood, a major tourist attraction, and
an Istanbul university building.
Police managed to remotely detonate the remaining bombs as the vehicle passed through the area this morning.
According to Istanbul's governor, Vasip Sahin, 36 other people were injured.
Police suspect the attack was carried out by the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
