Nigerian international midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is expected to sign for Leicester City in the first few days of the transfer window for a fee that could rise to £15m, according to Sky sources.
The 20-year-old has yet to be granted a work permit, but it’s understood all other details of the deal have been agreed.
Ndidi’s Genk side beat Gent 2-0 on Tuesday, and after the game Ndidi confirmed to Belgian media that it was his last game for the club.
Ndidi’s Genk teammates have wished him well on social media.
Leon Bailey wrote on Snapchat: “Good luck in Leicester City bro, we will meet again.”
And Omar Colley wrote on Instagram: “Good luck to Ndidi in Leicester. We’re gonna miss you.”
