Igede singles Abuja
meeting held on 9th July,2017 @ Sunnyvale estate lokogoma.
Opening prayer: by Akpa
Samuel Akpa @ about 4:35pm.
Introduction: both the
new and old members introduced themselves and the chief coordinator expressed
his excitement and acknowledged the presence of everyone in the meeting.
He further summarized the
aims and objectives of the igede singles saying igede nation lack leaders that
have the interest of igede at heart and that mentality of being a minority
group should be corrected and we are the ones to correct it, therefore igede
singles come together to build and develop ourselves in order to stand out
anywhere we find ourselves.
Reading of last minute:
the coordinator told the house that the minute was not available and did a
quick review of the issues that were raised in that meeting which one of the is
that everyone should play a role to seeing that igede singles develop by
bringing our friends who are sons and daughters of igede and the dues/lavy for
both the national level and the branch which is #2,000 per year and #200 per
month respectively.
New matters: the chief
coordinator addressed the issue that arose on the whatsapp platform saying it
was unfortunate that he was not online when it happened and that he don't want
to ask anybody how it happened but sounded a general warning that such thing
should not happened again. He further said that there's already a how to do
everything that we are no more kids, anybody that want to go into relationship
should do that in a more matured way. In igede singles, mingling is allowed but
everything should be done maturely.
We also discussed the
issue of our meeting venue; we said millennium park is not conducive now bcos
of the rainy season and house agreed that the team of coordinators should look
into out and arrange for a better venue that will have shelter so we can run to
whenever it is raining.
At this point, the floor
was given to our August visitors in persons of Mr. Gabriel Adoga who is also
the host of our meeting and our mother
Barr. Mrs. Patricia Kupchi.
Mr. Gabriel said the
meeting was prophetic having put mother in his house was a miracle for him and
congratulated everyone to be privileged to meet our mother in person. He
further said that a new generation of leaders are emerging in igede that will
deliver igede and advised us to build and develop ourselves in order to be pay
of that development God is bringing to igede nation.
Barr.Mrs. Patricia Kupchi
spoke extensively expressing her excitement to be in our midst and also
commented on the low turn out saying in her words "out is either you arise
our you arise".
She further said that she
came to appreciate us and also stir us up saying that oligede is known for
integrity, loyalty and excellence and asked us to continually asking ourselves
questions like; what do i represent and what is my identity?
She further expressed her
shock on the menace that had ruined igede nation lately which it's double
speaking and advised that we desist from such and that we should stand for the
truth anywhere and anytime even if we are to perish for that truth.
She further said that we
are easily misinformed and misled, that we should be properly informed and get
ready to deliver the nooks and cranny of igede land during census and at all
times.
Finally she said we
should love God and fear Him and in all put getting, we should get wisdom and
that igede should not be the same bcos of us. Also, we should be creative,
strategize and set target. "there's hope yet ahead and you are that
hope"
Her speech was recorded
and will posted bcos time and space was not enough to Penn down all her words
of wisdom and advice.
The chief coordinator
appreciated our guests and expressed his gratitude to the host for accepting us
in his house and our mother for having the interest of igede nation at heart.
He further expressed his discouragement on our so called leaders and god's
fathers in igede who do not have the interest of igede at heart and told put
mother that he's most grateful to meet her personally and that since she has
the interest of igede nation at heart, igede singles are solidly behind her at
all time and all the members present expressed their gratitude to her while
introducing themselves to her.
She supported us with the
sum of #10,000 after which she took permission to take her leave and we took
pictures with her.
At this juncture, the
coordinator said he's site nobody regreted being in the meeting and we've all
heated what they said, he further advised that we abide by it and the sky will
be our starting point.
A.O.B: observations were
made regarding some unnecessary posts on the whatsapp page that it should be
addressed.
Also, things that we
could learn such as how to prepare soups such as oho-nyehia
(beniseed soup) and so on
should be brought up on the grp page.
